Creativity, dreams and personal growth

Dreams themselves can bring insight and revelation and self-understanding. A dream that stays with you, or one that keeps returning, may be showing you something about your waking life that is hard to see in other ways.

When you bring a dream, we explore it together: what you were feeling in the dream, who was there, where you were, and any images or symbols that stand out, and what they mean to you. We might notice whether the dream reminds you of anything in your waking life. You are the expert on your own dreams. I’m here to help you explore what meaning a dream might hold for you.

Some people keep a dream journal between sessions and bring it along. You’re also welcome to bring other things you’ve written or made, such as a journal, a letter or a poem. Sometimes it’s easier to write something than to say it.

Working with dreams fits naturally with the person-centred way I work. It comes from many years of exploring my own dreams and keeping a dream journal.

We can work with dreams online as well as face to face.

This kind of exploration isn’t only for times of difficulty. It can also be part of self-discovery and personal growth.
