Miscarriage, baby loss and childlessness

Losing a pregnancy or a baby, at any stage and however long ago, is a real loss, and it can be a lonely one. Others may not know what to say, or may not know at all. The same can be true of childlessness, whether it came about through circumstance, through difficulty conceiving, or in ways that are hard to put into words.

These losses can bring grief, anger, guilt, emptiness, or a sense that the future you imagined has gone. They can also stir up old feelings, or affect your relationships with a partner, family or friends.

In counselling you can talk about all of this in your own way and in your own time. Nothing you feel is too much or too small to bring.

I don’t offer the specialist counselling that goes with fertility treatment. If you’re having treatment at a fertility clinic, your clinic can tell you about the counselling it offers.

If you’d like to talk about whether counselling with me might be right for you, please get in touch.
